Immerse yourself in nature, get back to basics and create some fabulous family memories with a classic ‘kiwi’ camping, caravan or campervan experience!

Set in 14 acres of native NZ bush Russell – Orongo Bay Holiday Park is a nature playground and a perfect place to let the kids loose to encounter, experience and explore!  Wake to the sounds of the abundant native birdlife, see the rare North Island weka wander through the park, hear the brown kiwi at night and be amazed by the night sky.

  • All sites have easy access to the shared bathroom, laundry, kitchen lounge and TV room facilities.
  • Sit around the camp fire toasting marshmallows and sharing stories.
  • Make use of the woodfire pizza oven and BBQ area with outdoor seating.
  • Cool off in the pool or keep the kids entertained on the playgrounds.
  • There are sites for camping, caravans and campervans, they are flat and spacious with Orongo Bay or native bush views and many are quite private.

Campervans

If you are travelling by campervan we have a number of sites with a view on the hill and slightly larger sites (subject to availability) with plenty of space to park up and set up some outdoor furniture to enjoy the native NZ bush and abundant birdlife.  You’ll also have access to wifi and all the park facilities if you feel like a break from using your own.  There is also a dump station available.
